And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" Then I said, "Here I am! Send me." Isaiah 6:8

Meet our missionaries:
-
Jerod and Katina Smith
Advocates for Africa.
Having lived and served in Rwanda for years, our founders were no strangers to the pressing needs of the African people. They realized that many good people in developed countries would like to help those in need, but simply were not aware of how great those needs were. So, after years of grassroots efforts in Africa, in 2014 Jerod and Katina Smith were led to put a formal name on their work. Thus, Advocates For Africa and the dream of speaking on behalf of those who can’t speak for themselves was birthed.

Blake and Katy Edgmon
Zoe Community.
We are missionaries to Ireland, specifically the Dublin area, but are praying to be able to serve people nationwide. We founded Zoe Community, an organization that trains volunteers in local churches to support women in crisis pregnancy. We are honored to be able to work with and serve the people of Ireland as God moves to break down walls of shame and fear.

Adam and Sarah Quinn
Assembly of God World Missions.
We are both proud graduates of the University of Oklahoma where we were actively involved in Chi Alpha (XA). After graduation we became Missionary Associates and, with a team, pioneered the XA at The University of Tulsa. After 3 years as MAs, God led us to Costa Rica and we arrived on May 6th, 2014. He laid a passion in our heart for the college students of Costa Rica and the most hurting communities of San José. We reach college students through our ministry “Red Universitaria.” And, as of 2021, we are planting a church called SOMOS in the middle of the San José bar scene - a community desperate for hope and purpose. We say we are “developing leaders that impact the world.”

Jonathan and Ali Buras
LSU Chi Alpha.
Jonathan and Ali Buras met while students at Louisiana State University. They both had their lives radically changed by the ministry of Chi Alpha at LSU and work every day to see that change repeated over and over in the students around them. After graduating from LSU (Jonathan in 2007 and Ali in 2008), they took a year to train with the Chi Alpha Internship program in Louisiana before moving to Oklahoma to work with Chi Alpha at The University of Oklahoma. After six years in Oklahoma, Jonathan and Ali were more than thrilled to have the opportunity to move home to LSU as the new directors and lead pastors of LSU Chi Alpha in 2015. They have two beautiful daughters, Addie and Lily who love to come to campus and see students.
-
Brandon and Stacy Garrett
OSU Chi Alpha.
Brandon got involved in Chi Alpha as a freshman at Northeastern State University. He played on the worship team, spoke periodically and served in various leadership roles. It was at NSU that he met his future wife, Stacy, a transfer student from East Central University. Stacy graduated with a degree in Finance and works for an accounting firm. The Garretts have a daughter, Aubrey and a son, Elliot.
Brandon served as a Youth Minister for six years prior being drafted to the OSUXA Team in 2010 to help repioneer Chi Alpha at OSU. He served on staff for nine years before becoming the director in 2020.
The Garretts believe in this generation and have a passion to see the OSU campus transformed!

Chris and Amy Hales
Assembly of God World Missions.
Prague is a city of 1.3 million people, many of whom claim to be atheist or agnostic. Some estimates put that number well over 70%. God loves the Czech people, and we believe He is sending us to share the good news with them of the love and salvation that can only be found in Christ. We moved to Prague with the purpose of starting a new international church.
In October of 2016, Heart Prague became reality. The doors to the church were opened and people began to come. Many nations have visited and the church is growing. Thank you for being a part. Because of your prayer and generosity, others will have the opportunity to know Jesus and be a part of a good local church.
We transitioned the church to Czech pastors in December 2020. Since then, we helped start two more churches in Czech and are working to establish churches in other European countries.
